Island Park update - Open on Monday, June 17 |

The U10 and U12 practice fields have been mowed and are now available for use. Island Park is still closed and the gate is locked, so coaches and parents will need to park on the access road. Update - Island Park will re-open on Monday, June 17 according to Adel Parks & Recreation Director Nick Schenck. Teams may also use the field at Adel Elementary for practice, but no small goals are available. Game Fields #2 and #3 will remain closed until further notice, due to damage from extensive flooding.

Registration for the Adel-DeSoto-Minburn fall soccer season will run from May 27 - June 23. You may register online, or during the walk-in registration scheduled for: Saturday, June 158:00 AM - NoonFirst Christian Church 9th Street and Rapids, Adel Please note: - No late registrations will be accepted.
- No mail in registrations will be accepted.
New Uniforms This Season New uniforms for ages U8 - U16 will be available at: Soccer Connections3233 100th St.Urbandale IA 50322 The deadline to order uniforms is July 15th to guarantee supply. The cost for Youth and Adult jersey: $12. - U6 players: T-shirts will be provided by the club.
- U8 players: Jersey is black with your choice of black shorts and black socks.
- U10 and above players: Two jerseys are available. The primary jersey is red, with your choice of black shorts and black socks. An alternative black jersey will be used when playing other teams whose primary team color is also red. Coaches will communicate when the alternate jersey is needed.
Scholarship Requests The Adel Kiwanis created a program to assist ADM families by helping cover some or all of the participation fees for their K-8 children who wish to participate in ADM activities. The Every Kid Plays! Program will reimburse up to $200 per child for those families that are having financial difficulties Please refer to the Adel Kiwanis web site for more information, as well as an application form |

Lights installed at Island Park soccer complex |

After years of renting portable lights for its annual Shoot the Moon tournament, the Adel-DeSoto-Minburn soccer club recently installed permanent lights on its two main fields. Several Adel residents employed by Mid-American Energy donated their time and skills during the installation process. Mid-American Energy donated the use of one of its large trucks used to install telephone poles. Volunteers helping install the poles included: - Kirk Bannick

"A lot of people have been working toward this goal for years, and now it's finally starting to come together," said Al Hofmann, ADMSC president. "This is a very exciting time for our club, it opens up many options for our club and our community to use this facility." The poles and lights have been installed, and now the final phase of the project includes purchasing and installing wiring for the system.
